About the Host

I'm Felicia Sherrod—marketer, educator, creative strategist, and neurodivergent woman of color with a message (and a mic). After 15 years navigating the marketing world across government, grassroots nonprofits, retail, and small business, I realized something: the biggest barrier isn’t talent—it’s translation.

So I launched Commonly Creative Media, the no-fluff marketing podcast, to help people like me—people who think differently, lead boldly, and communicate in ways that don’t always fit the mold—claim space in this industry. Whether you're a strategist, designer, social media manager, or project lead, if you’ve ever felt misunderstood, undervalued, or just stuck in misaligned roles, this space is for you.

This podcast is about helping you understand the full picture of marketing—beyond buzzwords and algorithms. We’re building clarity, confidence, and career alignment one episode at a time. Marketing is strategy. It's design. It's storytelling. It's people. It’s you. And I'm here to help you own it.
